Hi, I’m Sally, and thanks for stopping by at kidsgocamping.com.
When I was young, there wasn’t any iPad around. I grew up playing activity-based games with some neighbours mostly outdoor. I also believe kids need to get outdoor and get acquainted with nature rather than staying indoors most of the time looking at iPad and TVs.
In saying that, I understand that going out with kids is not always the easiest thing. In fact, there are lots of things to consider when going out with young kids – mostly things that would make your life easier and would help you enjoy your time outdoor.
My mission is to help provide you with unbiased reviews, tips and tricks, and lots of information about camping with kids.
I have divided the blog into four main topics:
Camping Essentials: Basically anything I can find that would be useful about the essentials. From portable picnic table, tents, kitchen equipment to emergency food packs.
Camping Tools and Gadgets: From camping tents, sleeping bags and just about any other camping gear you need to consider when camping with kids.
Camping Activities: Let’s face it, you don’t want the kids to get bored. But if your kids are like mine, they wouldn’t sit still for five minutes. So that’s what I would try to find: fun activities that can make the kids take care of themselves letting mummy read a book in peace.
In summary, I want to help as much as possible to make your camping trip as enjoyable as can be. After all, you want to have fun and connect with nature, not become ‘outdoor baby sitter’.
So I hope you find my site enjoyable and helpful in helping you make the right decision when planning a short or longer term camp trip with the kids. If you have some comments or feedbacks regarding the articles and research that I’ve done, please feel free to drop me a comment.
Thank you and get those kiddos outside!
